Murtaya Wins 2008 Car of the Year Shoot Out
Following an extensive two day test, the Complete Kit Car magazine panel have unanimously voted the Murtaya Car of the Year, 2008. Against stiff competition from renowned manufacturers RAW and MEV, the Murtaya scored a sensational points tally of 145, beating the nearest rival by a clear 13 points and a massive 22 points ahead of the third place car.

“As the points demonstrate there was no arguing over the car that came out top here. The Murtaya is a clear winner. And in some respects I think that we have only hinted at the cars appeal. Yes we expected it to be hugely capable. Yes it was always going to be the most practical. Yes we knew it would be extraordinarily fast but the Murtaya manages something else which is absolutely central to the appeal of any car. It is comprehensively good fun.
This is a car that can not fail to put a smile on your face. Every outing makes you feel special. Potter through town and the exhaust note is utterly rude. Give it stick on the open road and it sounds and goes like a supercar. It is bulging with glorious character and we all loved our time behind the wheel”.
